Stairs & uneven ground

Check the route before choosing an inspection platform.

Explore the use case

Partner demonstrations from MangoBot, not FRWRD deployments. Assessment is required for your site.

Define the use case before choosing the robot.

Start with the operation: inspection, material movement or a repeated physical task. Choose a robot against access, terrain, payload and the workflow, not simply the form factor.

Inspection is one application within industry and infrastructure. Explore the inspection guide for the questions that need answering before choosing a system.

How we scope it

What to settle before a pilot.

  1. The taskOne repeated task with an output you can check. A robot is chosen around the task, not the other way round.
  2. The siteWork area, dimensions, surfaces, access and who else is working there. Drawings or photographs help.
  3. The systemWhich supplied system fits. Manufacturer figures are reference specifications, not guaranteed output on your project.
  4. The evaluationWhat a useful result looks like, and what your team needs to operate the system.
  5. After handoverTraining, operation and support responsibilities, agreed for the project.

Buyer questions

Start with the task.

Can we start with an evaluation?

Discuss a pilot around a defined task and assessment. Scope and commercial terms must be confirmed.

Is onsite support included?

Support responsibilities, training and operation need to be agreed for the specific project. This page does not promise an included staffing package.

How do we choose between systems?

Compare the task, environment and relevant capabilities, then confirm fit with FRWRD. Bring the requirement, rather than booking from specifications alone.

Does FRWRD manufacture the robots, or source and deploy them?

FRWRD does not manufacture robots. We work with specialist manufacturers around the world and sit between them and GCC customers: identify the task, select the system, coordinate a pilot, support deployment and stay with it after handover.

What does adapting a robot to my site involve?

It starts with the task, the work area, access and the existing workflow. What needs to change in the configuration or the way the team works depends on the system and the site, and is agreed as part of the pilot scope rather than assumed up front.

How do I know a pilot is a good fit for my task?

A pilot fits when the task is repeated, the result can be checked and you can say what a useful outcome looks like. Bring the task, the site, the access constraints and the output you need. We agree what to measure: quality of the result, fit with the workflow, operating time and the effort your team needs to run it. See robotics pilots.

Can I rent instead of buy?

Rental suits events, exhibitions, demonstrations and short-term applications. Purchase, rental and pilot terms differ by robot, so availability and the model that applies are confirmed for the system and project you ask about.

What happens next

  1. We read your taskTell us what you want to automate, where and why. A few lines is enough to start.
  2. We tell you if it fitsWe say whether a system looks suitable and what would need assessing on your site.
  3. We agree a next stepUsually a scoped pilot or evaluation, with terms confirmed for the specific robot and project.
